Volyn announced plans to add anti drone nets on border roads. Officials say the step will strengthen local airspace control.
In Volyn region, near the border with Belarus, the possibility of installing anti-drone nets on certain sections of roads is being considered. The initiative was voiced by the Shatsk settlement community, and the acting head of the Volyn RSA, Roman Romanyuk, confirmed it.

The regional leader noted that risks from the neighboring state remain, so Volyn continues to systematically prepare for possible challenges.
The region has already introduced a number of security measures: namely, engineered barriers and fortified defensive positions, and plans are underway to introduce anti-drone nets on certain road sections, including on the territory of the Shatsk community.
The region’s leaders emphasize that Volyn is currently one of the best-prepared border regions of Ukraine, and further work in this direction should continue.
The implementation of such measures should increase road safety near the border and strengthen airspace control in the region.
