Border guards say they do not observe a Belarus-based force capable of invading, but intensive monitoring and fortification work continues along the border.<\/p>\n
On the borders with Belarus, at the moment there is no observed buildup of formations that could realistically carry out an invasion of Ukrainian territory.<\/p>\n
This position was stated by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during a television broadcast.<\/p>\n
According to him, authorities are currently closely monitoring how the threat may grow and whether a strike formation or a transfer from Russia to Belarus is being formed to bolster the corresponding forces.<\/p>\n

He also stressed that Ukrainians should be prepared for the development of any scenario, as this direction remains threatening to Ukraine while Belarus supports Russia.<\/p>\n
According to the State Border Guard Service, on June 3, 2026, Demchenko clarified that on the Belarusian section of the border, in the five months of the current year, Ukrainian border guards detained 160 violators.<\/p>\n
