Military forces from Lithuania, Poland, and France will hold joint exercises dubbed Gallant Boar 2026 near the Suwa\u0142ki Corridor from June 16 to 26, according to LRT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Troops from the Grand Duke of Lithuania Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion of the \u017demaitija infantry brigade will take part in the drills.<\/p>\n

They will train together with units from the Polish and French armed forces.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 13, Lithuania is expected to see intensive movement of military equipment along major roads as units are redeployed.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

According to the Lithuanian military, the exercises will include joint operations with allies and will enhance operational interoperability.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

A separate part of the drills will focus on practicing skills necessary to ensure the rapid and effective defense of the Suwa\u0142ki Corridor.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Politico has described the Suwa\u0142ki Corridor as one of Russia”s first potential targets in the event of a direct confrontation with NATO, as it is the only land link between the Baltic states and the rest of the Alliance.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

In December 2025, Lithuania announced plans to create a new brigade-level training range in the Suwa\u0142ki Corridor to strengthen border defenses against Belarus. Lithuania is also doubling the size of the Taurag\u0117 training area to accommodate heavy equipment and brigade-level exercises.<\/p>\n
