The aim is not to create an impenetrable wall, but to slow an advancing force, channel its movement and <a href=\"https:\/\/londonlovesbusiness.com\/why-2025-is-the-perfect-time-to-buy-a-new-car-key-benefits-and-considerations\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"50360\" data-penci-link=\"internal\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">buy crucial time<\/a> for NATO reinforcements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Lithuania will also increase the number of military engineering <a href=\"https:\/\/londonlovesbusiness.com\/how-barriers-improve-overall-safety-in-car-parks\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"50361\" data-penci-link=\"internal\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">parks storing obstacles such as concrete anti-tank barriers<\/a>, roadblocks and other defensive equipment from 27 to 50 by 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The measures form part of the wider Baltic Defence Line, launched jointly by Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in 2024 to fortify roughly 950km of their borders with Russia and Belarus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The strategy reflects a fundamental shift in European defence thinking. The Baltic states, once beneficiaries of the post-Cold War reduction in military infrastructure, are now <a href=\"https:\/\/londonlovesbusiness.com\/why-london-businesses-are-rebuilding-their-websites-around-buyer-psychology-instead-of-design-trends\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"50355\" data-penci-link=\"internal\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rebuilding physical barriers designed around<\/a> the possibility of a Russian attack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Wetland restoration will form another part of Lithuania\u2019s defensive architecture, with authorities seeking to make <a href=\"https:\/\/londonlovesbusiness.com\/the-end-of-the-small-boats-reforms-military-gamble-could-redefine-britains-borders\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"50359\" data-penci-link=\"internal\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">border terrain increasingly difficult for heavy military<\/a> vehicles to traverse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Lithuania\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/londonlovesbusiness.com\/gold-extends-gains-amid-geopolitical-concerns\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"50356\" data-penci-link=\"internal\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">concerns extend<\/a> beyond a conventional invasion.
