West Midlands Fire Service is warning locals to stay away as they tackle a grassland fire in Birmingham.
Around 20 firefighters are currently at Ley Hill Park, in Northfield, trying to bring the flames under control.
They have asked the public to ‘stay away’ and National Express West Midlands have placed the number 18 service on diversion.

WMFS said: “We have six crews in attendance at Ley Hill Park, Holloway, Northfield, where they have responded to a wildfire.
“Please avoid the area, where possible.”

NXWM said: “Friday 14th August 2026 Holloway Northfield.
“18 Diverting in both directions via Bristol Road South, Shenley Lane and Long Nuke Road due to an incident.”
The incident comes after a string of huge blazes swept through the city and Black Country.
More than 100 firefighters, including 11 specialist teams, battled to contain the flames which swept rapidly through Stourbridge Golf Course, in the Racecourse Lane area, at 1.30pm on Thursday (August 13).
In an update at 3.30pm on Friday, Chief Fire Officer, Simon Tuhill said the fire engulfed 37 properties, of which 19 were fully destroyed and a further 18 sustained damage.
