A huge haul of suuspected illegal tobacco and cigarettes has been seized by North Wales Police. The contraband was discovered following a stop search in Craig y Don, near Llandudno.
This was as a result of joint work between neighbourhood policing and response officers. A vehicle and its contents were also seized as part of the policing operation.
The success of the operation was also partly was due to intelligence received from a concerned member of the public who had seen the male appearing to be selling items to others, including children.

Sergeant Ball from the neighbourhood policing team said: “West Conwy (officers) are determined to combat the illegal flow of dangerous tobacco and vape products being brought into the area.
“We are leading the way in North Wales as a district in the joint working we carry out with our partners in Trading Standards, Immigration and the fire service to ensure that we maximise all opportunities to use legislation and resources to assist in this.

“We will not hesitate to seize goods, property and money in order to hurt the groups involved in this type of crime.
