The opportunity to sleep in a former vault has arisen as an old bank has been converted into housing and commercial space.
The former Barclays Bank on Market Hill in Diss has undergone major conversion works by Old Bucks Developments to turn it into four flats.
A commercial space has also been created inside the Grade-II listed building, with two of the four apartments already completed.

A commercial space will also be available to let, with Samantha Kemp, of Old Bucks Development, saying that businesses in the town have already shown interest in the space.

Ms Kemp told the Diss Express that original features have been kept to preserve the building’s history, while creating “stylish modern apartments” within the original building.

She said: “It is so sad because Diss has pretty much lost all of its banks now.
“Obviously, things have changed quite a lot nationally with banking, with branches only being in very big cities.
“The building’s been really lovely, but quite challenging to restore, particularly the Grade II-listed front. There’s been a lot of conversion, remedial and restoration work to be done, while retaining the original features.”
The other two apartments, located on the ground floor, are expected to go on the market within the next month.

Ms Kemp added: “The commercial space is lovely because it’s so high, with huge, bright windows.
“It is a lovely, lovely bright building, especially those front apartments and the commercial space.
“The commercial building has had quite a bit of interest, which would be really nice to have some more businesses in town.

“There are some people who have already inquired who already have existing businesses in the area. I think it is nice. It shows people do want to stay.”
