India-based defence and aerospace company Sigma Advanced Systems has secured a long-term agreement worth nearly Rs 1,621 crore with Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions.
The agreement follows Sigma’s acquisition of Bromford, a Leicester-based precision manufacturing company, and expands its existing relationship with Rolls-Royce. It comes after Sigma recently secured another Rolls-Royce agreement valued at around Rs 3,890 crore.
Under the latest agreement, Bromford will manufacture aerospace engine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures. Production will be carried out across Sigma’s manufacturing facilities in India and the UK, providing Rolls-Royce with a dual-source supply arrangement.
The deal expands Sigma’s product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities in aerospace components while increasing its participation in Rolls-Royce’s UK supply chain. Bromford brings specialised expertise in aero-engine rings, casings and precision manufacturing, along with established approvals from global aerospace original equipment manufacturers.
Sigma said the acquisition and subsequent agreement are intended to increase its participation in higher-value aerospace programmes and strengthen its presence across the global aerospace supply chain.
The company operates through its UK subsidiaries, Nasmyth and Bromford, as part of its strategy to expand manufacturing capacity and deepen relationships with aerospace customers through targeted acquisitions.
Sigma Advanced Systems is listed on the BSE and NSE and manufactures systems and components for aerospace, defence, naval, radar and communications applications.
