Drivers experienced long delays after a collision on a major route.

Just after 10am, National Highways said the scene had been cleared, and traffic had been released.
There are delays of 30 minutes with two miles of congestion on the approach road, which “will begin to ease”, it said.
One motorist, Rio, who did not wish to give his last name, says he was at a standstill on the bridge for almost two hours.
He said: “I was meant to be getting a train from Sidcup to London for work but I’ve missed it. I left the house at 8am from Iwade and within 15 minutes, I hit traffic.
“I’ve seen unmarked police cars, incident response vans, recovery vehicles, ambulances and highway vehicles go by.”
Just before 10am he reported that traffic had been released.
Queues of traffic were seen heading back towards Junction 3 for Chatham and Rochester.
According to National Highways, there are currently delays of 60 minutes in the area.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, they said: “There are delays of 60 minutes on the M2 westbound between Junction 3 (Blue Bell Hill) and Junction 2 (Cuxton) Medway Bridge following an earlier collision.
“Vehicles have been recovered. Service providers are assessing the road for defects. Traffic will be released once confirmed safe”.

Paramedics confirmed they were made aware of the incident but stood down prior to arrival, as no injuries have been reported.
