Fans of Good Morning Britain were not very happy with the ITV show on Monday. Ed Balls and Susanna Reid were back at the helm, discussing all of the latest news and headlines.

The topic of robots running marathons came up as Susanna Reid shared her fears of a dystopian world, where she won’t be able to out run them if they turn against humankind. Ed poked fun at her and laughed in her face as she sternly snapped back: “Well, you won’t be laughing soon.” But he continued to jokingly question her, asking: “Well why would a robot want to run after me?” She said: “You will soon see, when we are all expendable. But let’s just bookmark this moment.” She then tried to move on, but Ed looked shocked and pointed behind her saying: “Look! What’s that?” But by that point, Susanna was over the joking around. “Ok, we have got other things to discuss now,” she urged. “Time to move on.”

Other topics on the programme included rising pressure for Sir Keir Starmer to step down from his role of Prime Minister, but viewers complained that they were “bored” of hearing about it.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer fumed: “Red balscooper with his mandatory red labour tie on championing his narcissistic, dim, devious, dishonest prime minister. Grinning like a cheshire cat….not a good look gmb.#gmb.”

Another added: “Bored with everything Mandleson. He left last September. What’s happened with the cost of living crisis? #GMB.”

A third penned: ” #GMB What a pile of [poop emoji] this show is. If I wanted to watch GMB, I would first get myself lobotomised and then change channels.”

“30 mins of Labour bashing on @GMB, not a single other subject discussed. No Tice tax dodging, no Trump, no fuel shortages, nothing. It was like watching GBNEWS but with more viewers #GMB,” someone else fumed.

Other fans shared that they shared Susanna’s fears. One wrote: “The world is turning into the film I Robot. I agree with Susanna it’s terrifying #gmb.”
