Police have launched an appeal after two mystery people took another man with serious head and facial injuries to hospital in Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a man in his 30s was taken to West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, April 22.

It is suspected that the man had been assaulted.

He has since been taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The force said he was taken to the hospital by two unknown people who have not yet been identified.

Numerous enquiries are underway, including CCTV, to determine the circumstances surrounding the victim’s injuries, police said.

Detectives are now appealing to anybody who may have any information to get in touch via 101 or the force website quoting 50260101465

Officers said they are particularly keen to hear from the two members of the public who took the injured party to hospital, or from anybody who may be able to identify them.
