A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a death in Rhosllanerchgrugog, near Wrexham. Police launched an investigation after Linas Buta died with a head injury at his home on Bryn Glas. Detectives continue to appeal for information.

Today (Friday) a North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a death in Wrexham.

“An investigation was launched after Linas Buta, 49, died with a head injury at a property on Bryn Glas, Rhos on Friday, 27 March.

“A 40-year-old man from the Essex area was arrested on Thursday 23 April on suspicion of murder. He has since been bailed as the investigation continues.” Join the North Wales Live Whatsapp community now

Police had believed Mr Buta had been involved in a physical altercation at around midday on Thursday, March 26, on the Bonc Wen Car Park in Rhos, before he died.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Rob Mahoney, continues to appeal to anyone with information that could assist with the investigation to get in touch on 101, or via the website, using reference number O045989.
