Two men have been charged with the murder of a man in East London. Abdullahi Abdi, 24, and Hanet Ahmed, 25, have been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Suhayb Adulkadir in Leyton.

On Thursday, April 23, there were reports of an altercation on Saint George’s Road at 12:40am. When police and the ambulance service arrived, they found Mr Abdulkadir with stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Abdi and Mr Ahmed will both appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today (April 27) to face the charge of murder.

Initially, four men were arrested for murder. Mr Abdi and Mr Ahmed were both charged, while one man was bailed and another released under investigation.

At the time of the incident, Chief Superintendent Rhona Hunt, who leads policing in Waltham Forest, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones – and with everyone affected by this tragic incident.”
