A man has been charged after a woman was reportedly raped in Byron Park in Wealdstone.
Police were called at around 17:07hrs on Saturday, 2 May following reports that a woman was raped by a man in the Harrow park on the evening of Friday, 1 May.
The woman is being supported by specialist officers. Anojan Ganesalingham, 40 (19.01.86), of no fixed address, was arrested in the Harrow area on Saturday, 2 May on suspicion of rape.

He was charged earlier this morning, Monday, 4 May, with two counts of rape and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning. He was remanded in custody to appear at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, 1 June.
Detective Inspector Mitesh Mulji, of the Metropolitan Police North West Command Unit, said: “We are committed to tackling the scourge of sexual violence against women and girls.
A large area has been cordoned off.
“This was an isolated incident, but we are aware of the concern that it will cause in our local community.
“The woman who bravely reported this incident to us is being supported by specialist officers. We are increasing patrols in Byron Park and the surrounding area in response to this incident, and I would urge anyone with concerns to speak to our officers.”
