Fans of Good Morning Britain all issued the same complaint on Wednesday morning as a familiar face appeared on screen. With Susanna Reid on a break, Ed Balls was joined by regular presenter Kate Garraway and together they welcomed a whole host of guests, including Kevin Maguire.
However, as the ITV show guest shared his opinions on the world’s latest headlines, including discussing Donald Trump and actions from Keir Starmer‘s Labour party, fans at home were less than impressed. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they shared their complaints, with many admitting that there were “switching off”. One person pointed out the “bias” from Maguire, writing: “Is Kevin Maguire an actual Labour spokesperson? This is getting silly on @GMB #gmb”. Another said: “@GMB Maguire, please stfu!! Switches off. #gmb.” Someone else shared a GIF of the TV being turned off, adding: “Oscar cough drop and Maguire again ffs #GMB”.
Last week, the 59-year-old presenter argued with the Green Party leader over changes to the party’s policies ahead of the local elections.
The party leader later reshared a post claiming Balls came across as a “classroom bully” during the heated interview as he insinuated that his interview was biased.
