Those seeking weekend television entertainment need look no further than ITV’s third live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent. The beloved talent competition made its return in February, with viewers enjoying a diverse range of performers vying for victory in the programme’s 19th series.

Saturday, May 9 will see the third live semi-final determine which acts progress to the grand final later in the month. The line-up of contestants competing this weekend was revealed on the official BGT social media channels on Thursday, May 7.

This includes glowing performance group Antigravity, daredevil act Liwei Yang, The Lux City Choir, dance group Mega Unity, acrobatic act Mizuki Shinagawa, harpist and singer Niamh Noade, dance group Playground and finally comedian and Ted Hill.

The comedian and science presenter, was awarded Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer for his unique performance.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian performance group Antgravity was Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer act after she beat Simon to the button.

Alesha threw herself onto the desk to beat Simon but Cowell then insisted his pinky made contact first.

“I’m not kidding, Alesha threw herself across the desk,” Simon said.. “She actually injured herself! It’s how competitive people get.”

Although the contestants won’t be the only ones performing on Saturday night’s semi final, there will also be a special performance from a much-loved 90s boyband.

The official BGT Instagram account announced: “Swear it again, Westlife are coming to #BGT!”

Three of the original members of the band including, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Feehily, will be performing live on the show.

One fan of the show commented: “Best act by far.”

Much like last year, the semi-finals will air on consecutive Saturday evenings, with the grand final scheduled for Saturday, May 30.

Fans of the programme can look forward to seeing singer Matty Juniosa, who received Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer, alongside performer Anastasiia and her dog Salsa in the grand final, having triumphed in the first semi-final.

Additionally, they will be joined by the second semi final winners Sadeck Berrabah & LMA who won Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer, and mind-blowing magician Fabian Fox.
