Co Armagh teenager Niamh Noade narrowly missed out on making the Britain’s Got Talent final after coming second in the public vote in her semi final.
Harpist Niamh, from Lislea, performed in the third semi final of the popular talent show tonight where she went up against performance group Antigravity, daredevil act Liwei Yang, The Lux City Choir, dance group Mega Unity, acrobatic act Mizuki Shinagawa, dance group Playground and finally comedian Ted Hill.
Tonight Niamh performed her own version of Philip Oakey’s ‘Together in Electric Dreams’ which proved popular with the public at home as she managed to finish second in the overall public vote.
She lost out to popular comedian Ted Hill who was a favourite of presenters Ant and Dec.
Niamh thanked everyone who voted for her after the results were revealed, particularly her family who had attended the show to cheer her on.
Belfast Live has been following Niamh’s journey since she entered Junior Eurovision back in 2022. Speaking after her BGT audition aired earlier this year, she said she has been blown away by the support in Northern Ireland.
She said: “I can’t believe it. Everyone’s been so supportive, like, I’ve got so many messages about it.
“Britain’s Got Talent has always been my dream – I did The Voice Kids a few years ago, but I think I really was just working up to this.
“I’ve been watching Britain’s Got Talent for years and I didn’t really think that it would happen. I thought it was just out of my reach, so I couldn’t even believe when it actually happened.
“It was just amazing to be able to perform on Britain’s Got Talent. I still can’t really believe it, to be honest.”
