Amanda Holden stunned viewers on Saturday night as she wore a sparkly sheer dress for the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-final.

The Heart FM host and judge even flashed her underwear as she posed for photos, with the embellished gown leaving little to the imagination. During her appearance on the panel, she revealed her mum had text her half way through to give her her winners.

Amanda, 55, was joined by the judging panel as she showed off her svelte physique in the celestial-inspired dress, which was adorned with shimmery stars. It was tied around the neck with a satin scarf, with layers of tulle gathering around her feet. The actress – who is no stranger to a daring outfit – also shared some snaps to her Instagram, her hair swept up into a high bun.

Alongside Simon Cowell, 66, Alesha Dixon, 47, and KSI, 32, Amanda joined the rest of the BGT panel for last night’s semi-final, which featured a live performance from Westlife. The band – which features Shane Filan, Nicky Bryne and Kian Egan – belted out their biggest hits ahead of their 25th anniversary tour.

Comedian Ted Hill was victorious last night, securing himself a coveted spot in the final, which takes place on May 30. Ted, who bagged Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer during the auditions, performed his PowerPoint comedy act, leaving the audience and judges in hysterics.

The runner-up was harpist and singer Niamh Noade, while daredevil fire-juggler Liwei Yang was awarded KSI’s golden buzzer after a “phenomenal” performance. She will join the rest of finalists so far, who have been confirmed over the three semi-finals so far.

The winner of BGT takes home a huge £250,000 prize, as well as the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance for the royals. But viewers have been left frustrated with the ITV show because of its new format, with fans left slating the “bizarre concept”.

New for this year, each judge has a chance to put on act through with the special Golden Buzzer during the semi-finals. However, they can only use it once – during the act in question.

But fans have been left baffled with the “unfair” format. One wrote on social media: “Golden buzzer seriously needs to be left until everyone is on stage for the final results. As in, after everyone has performed.”

Another said: “How many more acts are going straight to the final. What happens to public choice. #BGT.” A third asked: “I’m late to this and only catching up now but how can you have a golden buzzer to put an act through to the final before seeing all of them? Bizarre concept that doesn’t work and makes zero sense. #BGT.”

Meanwhile, Ted Hill, who won the public vote, told the Mirror prior to his performance: “I’ve decided that I just want to be as authentic to myself as possible, and if I don’t get through because I was too much like myself, then I don’t think I will have any regrets. I’ve decided to fully commit to the weirdness of my personality. And I’ve done something a little bit sciencey that involves my science knowledge to make a special gift for Simon Cowell. Because I got the golden buzzer from Ant and Dec I didn’t get any feedback from Simon in my audition so I’m hoping he will like this one.”

He added: “My dream is to sort of find a bigger audience, to find people out there that like comedy that’s a bit different. Then to be able to go on tours where I can perform in bigger venues. I would love to perform PowerPoint comedy for the king.”
