Police are appealing after reports a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Exmouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police were made aware of a sexual assault against a teenage girl in the area of Gipsy Lane in Exmouth, said to have taken place on Thursday, May 7.
It was reported to the force that two males approached the victim and sexually assaulted her between 4pm and 5.30pm. The victim is being supported by specially trained officers as the force carry out enquiries.
They now ask that anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, to get in touch via 101 quoting reference number 50260115290.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Detectives investigating a report of sexual assault in Exmouth are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“We received a report of a sexual assault against a teenage girl in the area of Gipsy Lane, Exmouth, on the afternoon of Thursday 7 May, with the incident taking place between 4pm and 5.30pm.
“It was reported two males approached the victim and sexually assaulted her. She is being supported by specially trained officers while enquiries are being carried out.”
