Revolut, a global FinTech serving more than 13 million UK customers, has launched its first savings challenge in the United Kingdom, offering participants the chance to win prizes of up to £100,000 in return for maintaining consistent saving habits.
The initiative is built around a weekly automated savings streak. Customers select a savings target of between £10 and £50 per week, with Revolut automatically transferring the funds into a dedicated account. Those who complete every weekly deposit within a given month will be entered into a £10,000 monthly prize draw. Savers who sustain their streak for a minimum of 50 out of 52 weeks across the full year become eligible for a £100,000 jackpot prize.
The challenge has been timed deliberately to coincide with the midpoint of the year, with Revolut positioning June as an opportunity for customers to reassess their financial health after the traditional ISA season winds down. Rather than focusing on the size of deposits, the challenge is structured to reward the regularity of saving as a behaviour in itself.
In addition to prize eligibility, participants benefit from interest of up to 4% AER (variable), calculated and paid daily. A customer contributing the weekly minimum of £10 would accumulate a guaranteed annual safety net of £520 plus interest, rising to £2,600 for those saving £50 per week. Interest rates vary by plan, ranging from 3% AER (variable) on Standard to 4% AER (variable) on Ultra, with lower rates potentially applying depending on account balance.
The challenge is open to all UK Revolut customers aged 16 and over with an active account, though only those aged 18 and above are eligible to claim prizes. Deposited funds remain accessible for withdrawal at any point during the challenge. Customers can sign up via the Revolut app under the ‘Savings’ tab and must register by 31 May to participate.
Revolut head of growth for UK, Ireland and the Nordics Emily Lewis said, “A mid-year reset is the perfect time to audit your financial health and move away from the ‘set and forget’ mentality of January resolutions. We wanted to create a challenge that rewards the habit of saving rather than just the amount, so financial wellness doesn’t feel like a chore. By putting away just £10 a week, less than the price of two coffees, our customers not only build a personal safety net of over £500 but also stand a chance to significantly boost their balance with prizes that reward disciples, healthy money habits.”
