A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a pensioner in his 90s was found dead in a bungalow.
Police were called to a report of concern for a person in Holly Road, St Mary’s Bay, on Romney Marsh, at 9.30am on Thursday.
Officers attended along with paramedics and a man in his 90s was confirmed deceased. His next of kin has been informed.
A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of murder and was taken into custody, where he remains, pending further enquiries. It is understood that both men were known to each other.

This morning, police tape remained around the property in the usually quiet street.
One PCSO was stationed outside, while forensics have been seen going in and out of the home.

Neighbours described the man in his 90s, called Tom, as a “lovely” person.
George Potter, 88, who has lived opposite the bungalow for eight years, says he knew both men and was shocked to learn of the death.
