The body of a man has been found in the water of a Co Down park on Sunday morning.
Emergency services are attending the scene in the Shore Road area of Rostrevor on May 17 after reports of a body in a “section of river”.
Independent Councillor Mark Gibbons said the body of a man was discovered by members of the public in Kilbroney Park.

A PSNI spokesperson: “Police are currently in attendance at the Shore Road area of Rostrevor following the report of a body in the water today, Sunday 17th May.
“There are no further details at this time.”
Cllr Gibbons sent his thoughts to the man’s family and thanked the members of the public who “did all they could” after discovering the body.
He said: “A man has sadly been found deceased in a section of river in Kilbroney Park this morning. Emergency services remain at the scene.
“I would like to sincerely thank the emergency services for the care, professionalism and dignity shown in dealing with this deeply sad incident, as well as the members of the public who were first at the scene this morning and did all they could to help in such difficult and distressing circumstances.
“My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the man’s family, loved ones and friends at this incredibly painful and heartbreaking time.”
