A travel warning has been issued with no trains able to run into London Euston from Manchester for a period of five-days. Due to engineering work taking place, no train services will be able to serve the major station on a number of lines.
National Rail said no Avanti West Coast services will be able to travel to or from the station. Instead, customers can travel between London St Pancras International and Bedford. Tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on East Midlands Railway and Thameslink trains.
There will also be a replacement bus service will operate between Bedford and Milton Keynes Central for onward connections. This will affect frequent busy services from Manchester Piccadilly.

Train frequencies will be reduced to one per hour between major stations including between Milton Keynes and Manchester Piccadilly, Glasgow Central and Liverpool Lime Street.
The major disruption will last between April 3 and April 8. Between that period, no main line trains will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central. There will also be disruption to the London Overground.
According to the Bee Network, one train per hour will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Milton Keynes Central via Stoke-on-Trent. Customers are then advised to board a replacement bus from Milton Keynes Central to Bedford for onward rail connections to London St Pancras instead.
“The work is part of a huge programme of improvement work on the West Coast Main Line which will ensure smoother, more reliable journeys for passengers,” a National Rail statement said.
Works include 8.4m of track works at Willesden, signalling upgrades worth over £7m south of Leighton Buzzard to improve long term reliability, £6.6m of bridge waterproofing works at Ledburn, overhead line equipment renewal near Wembley and power upgrade enabling works in Bushey to improve operations to trains in and out of London Euston.
