A range of closures will be in place while National Grid strengthens the electricity network of a Lincolnshire town.
A total of £500,000 is being invested in Spalding through a reinforcement scheme, which will use a cable overlay to install a new cable alongside the existing network.
This will improve reliability and increase capacity for homes and businesses in the area.
The works are expected to be completed by Saturday, July 4, and will help ensure the network can meet increasing demand, support local growth and keep electricity flowing reliably for the years ahead.
A spokesperson for National Grid said: “Electricity demand is increasing, and this investment will help ensure the network in Spalding is ready to support local homes and businesses now and in the future.
“This work is being carefully delivered in sections to reduce disruption, where possible.
“We’d like to thank residents and businesses for their patience while this work is carried out.”
The work will take place in sections, meaning a range of closures will be in place.
Here is the full list of planned works:
Pinchbeck Road. Lane closures and temporary traffic lights in operation. Excavation works in the road to install new cable alongside the existing network from May 23 to July 4.
Kings Road. Lane closures and temporary traffic lights in operation. Excavation works in the footpath and road to install and connect new cable sections from May 29 to July 4.
Winfrey Avenue. Lane closures and temporary traffic lights in operation. Excavation works in the footpath and road from May 29 to July 4.
