Morrisons has issued an urgent recall of one of its Savers items for fear that the packages contain pieces of glass.

Morrisons Savers Cashews have been removed from shelves by the Food Standards Agency.

The affected batches are the 125g packages, which have best by dates of 9 August 2026, 6 September 2026, 26 September 2026, 28 September 2026, and 9 October 2026.

Any customers who have bought the product are urged to return it to the nearest store for a full refund.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: ‘No other products are affected by this issue.

‘We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.’

In late April, an urgent recall was issued for the Millennium Peanuts Caramel Milk Chocolate bar sold at B&M and Home Bargains over ‘health fears’.

Producer Loudwater Trade & Finance Ltd recalled the chocolate bar from retailers for failing to declare allergens in English on the label.

The chocolate contains milk, soya and peanuts, and it may contain hazelnuts, almonds, cashew nuts and cereals containing gluten, none of which are declared on the label.

The Food Standards Agency warned at the time that the failure poses a health risk for anyone with an allergy or an intolerance to the chocolate’s ingredients.
