Londoners are facing another spate of weekend closures across the Tube and Overground network, Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed. Thankfully, the changes are fairly minor for the most part, with all lines running a majority of their route.
This is welcome news for commuters and tourists alike who have seen journeys disrupted by strikes on the Underground across Tuesday and Thursday. However, the Piccadilly line continue to be severely impacted as train will not run between Hammersmith and Hillingdon, including Heathrow Airport, over Saturday and Sunday.
The District line and three Overground lines will also see changes amid a programme of track and Network Rail maintenance. But, DLR and Elizabeth line services are running as usual.

District lineSaturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7 : No service from Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway due to track work.Piccadilly line
TfL previously confirmed sections of the Piccadilly line will close over various days throughout 2026 ahead of a new fleet of Tube trains being introduced from December –
Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7: No service from Hammersmith to Heathrow Airport/Uxbridge, including during Friday and Saturday Night Tube, due to track work. Rail replacement buses will run.Lioness lineSunday, June 7 : No service from Euston to Kilburn High Road until midday and after 8.30pm due to Network Rail maintenance work.Mildmay lineSunday, June 7 : No service from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction due to Network Rail maintenance work. Gatwick Express
Engineering work is taking place between East Croydon and Purley, closing some lines late on Saturday evening and all day on Sunday:
An amended service will run from 11.45pm on Saturday and all day SundayNo trains will run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport before 6.30am on Saturday morning.
Southern
Engineering work is taking place in the Shepherds Bush area over the weekend, closing all lines:
No trains will run between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction after 8pm on SaturdayNo trains will run between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction all day Sunday.
Additionally, engineering work is taking place between East Croydon and Purley, closing some lines late on Saturday evening and all day on Sunday:
An amended service will run for all trains operating between East Croydon and Purley from 11.45pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. Trains which usually call at stations between London Bridge and East Croydon via Peckham Rye will operate a revised timetable between London Bridge and Caterham/Tattenham Corner.
Southwestern
Buses replace trains between New Malden and Surbiton on Saturday and Sunday.
