A violent weekend in London has seen a series of serious incidents unfold across the capital.
Emergency services were called to multiple incidents between Friday, June 5 and Sunday, June 7, including fatal attacks, stabbings and major crashes.
Several people were left fighting for their lives while others tragically died, prompting investigations across several boroughs.
Here is a round-up of the key crime stories reported by Newsquest London over the weekend, based on information from the Metropolitan Police.
‘Talented’ singer-songwriter ‘named’ as man stabbed to death
A singer-songwriter who worked with artists including Chip, Usher, Dua Lipa and Britney Spears has reportedly been identified as the man killed in a double stabbing in Silvertown.
Police were called to reports of a knife attack in Pankhurst Avenue at around 9am on Friday, June 5.
Officers found a 35-year-old man with stab wounds in the garden of a property near Rayleigh Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tributes shared online have identified the victim as Talay Riley, also known as Mark Olayinka Orabiyi.
Riley signed his first major publishing deal at just 18 and went on to write Chip’s UK number-one single Oopsie Daisy.
Among the tributes, Chip wrote on Instagram: “You ain’t deserve to go out like that fam, fly high bro. Your pen will live forever. What a day man. What a life. RIP Talay Riley.”
A second man in his 20s was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, June 5.
A 27-year-old man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries, while a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been released with no further action.
Man taken to hospital after Edmonton Green stabbing
A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing near Edmonton Green shopping centre in the early hours of Friday.
Emergency services were called to Church Street, outside Edmonton Green station, shortly before 1.50am on June 5.
A 29-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries were later assessed as neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
No arrests have been made.
Man taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after East Dulwich crash
A man in his 20s suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision between a car and a cyclist in East Dulwich.
Police were called to Dog Kennel Hill at 11.03am on Friday, June 5.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, and the injured man was taken to hospital with suspected life-changing injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Lanes halted on M25 after ‘multi-vehicle’ crash
Traffic was brought to a standstill on the M25 following a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday, June 6.
All lanes were stopped on the anticlockwise carriageway at junction 27 (M11 interchange) shortly before midday.
Traffic cameras also showed lane three closed on the opposite carriageway due to a separate incident.
AA Maps reported that three vehicles were involved, although this has not been confirmed by police. Long delays continued throughout the day.
Man dies after falling from height near Heathrow Terminal 5
A man has died after falling from a height near Heathrow Airport.
Police were called to an area near Terminal 5 shortly before 5pm on Saturday, June 6.
He was pronounced dead following the fall.
The Metropolitan Police said the death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.
The incident caused significant disruption on the M25 for several hours.
Man fighting for his life as three stabbed after group fight near music event
A man is fighting for his life as three were stabbed after an alleged music event in Barking.
Police were called to River Road in Barking last night (June 6) at 11.20pm to reports of a large fight.
Three men, aged 22, 23 and 28, were found with stab wounds.
All three were taken to hospital, with the 22-year-old in a critical condition.
Both the 23-year-old and 28-year-old were then discharged and taken into custody after being arrested.
While in custody, the 23-year-old became unwell and was returned to hospital – where his condition is unknown.
Man taken to hospital after stabbing near pub in Enfield
A man was stabbed after an incident in Enfield.
Hertford Road was cordoned off near Stainton Road at around 1.27am following the attack.
Police remained at the scene on Sunday, June 7.
A man in his 30s was seen injured outside a licensed premises, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
Officers performed first aid on the man for his minor injuries.
Another man, in his 30s, was also treated by officers at the scene for a stab wound.
Both men were taken to hospital, where the second man remains in a non-life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been made at this time and enquires continue.
Man taken to hospital after stabbing following ‘assault’ in Poplar
A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Poplar.
Police were called to Ricardo Street on Saturday (June 6) at 7.47pm to reports of an assault.
At the scene, a man in his 20s was found with stab injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in non-life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been made at this time and enquires continue.
Man taken to hospital in serious condition after ‘fight’ near Tube station
A man remains in a serious condition in hospital following a fight near Willesden Green Tube station.
Emergency services were called to Walm Lane at 2.41am on Sunday, June 7, after reports of an altercation involving several people.
Officers attended with paramedics, and the injured man was taken to hospital.
The Met said the incident is not believed to be linked to a separate assault in the area on May 31.
No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.
