The 23-time grand slam champion, who’s competing in doubles alongside Canadian tennis player and world number nine Victoria Mboko, wore a soft pink Nike tennis kit complete with pleated skirt and coordinated jacket by the American athletic footwear and apparel brand.

The zip-up jacket had a high collar and long sleeves, which later revealed a fitted white sleeveless shirt beneath. The venerated athlete also wore black and white Nike wrist bands and her tennis shoes augmented the color scheme of her on-court kit — with tones of pink, white and black throughout.

Tuesday’s doubles match with Mboko at the HSBC Championships in London marks Williams’ first professional tennis match in nearly four years. The last time Williams competed in the sport was at the 2022 U.S. Open in New York City.

Throughout her decades-long career, Williams’ on-court style pushed boundaries. The four-time Olympic gold medalist often favored custom Nike kits for grand slam tournaments and even collaborated with high-profile designers on her kits throughout her career.

For her last on-court look before her comeback, Williams collaborated with Nike’s lead apparel designer Carly Ellis on her shimmering tennis kit complete with sheer mesh fabric, a tulle skirt and crystal embellishments throughout.

Williams also worked with the likes of the late Virgil Abloh, who curated Williams’s Nike x Off-White tennis outfits for the 2018 U.S. Open.
