The Met Office has warned of ‘disruptive and potentially damaging winds’ in parts of the UK as Storm Dave sweeps in this Easter weekend.
Forecasters have issued an amber warning for wind, which comes into effect at 7pm on Saturday (April 4) and remains in place until 3am on Sunday (April 5). It covers parts of north Wales, northern England and southern Scotland.
The Met Office alert warns of a potential ‘danger to life’ from flying debris and large waves as gusts of up to 80mph could hit the area. Strong winds could also cause travel delays and cancellations, damage buildings or trigger power cuts, forecasters said.
