The United Kingdom has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, according to the British delegation.
Niall Hay, Head of Press for the United Kingdom’s Eurovision delegation, has confirmed that the country will take part in next year’s contest in Bulgaria.
The confirmation comes as the BBC continues its existing agreement with BBC Productions, which outlines the broadcaster’s involvement in Eurovision until at least 2028.
Under this arrangement, the BBC will continue work on the production of Eurovision coverage, as well as supporting the selection of the United Kingdom’s entry for the contest.
While participation has been confirmed, no details have yet been announced regarding how the United Kingdom will select its artist and song for Eurovision 2027.
In recent years, the BBC has opted for an internal selection process, working with record labels and industry partners to choose its entries.
Look Mum No Computer represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2026 with ‘Eins, Zwei, Drei’. He scored 1 point from the jury in Ukraine and finished 25th in the final.

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and holds the record for the most consecutive appearances in the contest. To date, the UK has won the contest a total of five times, with their first victory coming in 1967 and their latest in 1997. The UK holds the record for the most second-place finishes in the contest, having been runner-up a total of 16 times. Since 2000 the UK has finished within the top 10 only three times, this being in 2002 with Jessica Garlick, 2009 with Jade Ewen and 2022 with Sam Ryder who finished 2nd in Turin.
