This cosy and easy-going pub is tucked away in the pretty New Forest village described as being among Britain’s poshest!

Monty’s Inn, part of country house hotel The Montagu Arms, is the perfect place to drop in with muddy paws, wellies, and the whole family in tow. It’s right at the heart of Beaulieu, the most expensive village in England, Wales and Scotland and on a list of the 50 poshest villages for 2026, according to The Telegraph.

Also on the doorstep of some of the region’s best-loved visitor attractions, Monty’s also has a whole host of great events to enjoy this summer.

Pups can join in the fun with a Belly Rubs and Biscuits Afternoon Tea, complete with chicken, turkey, beef or fish savouries, alongside Ruffingtons eclairs, canine cupcakes and Jude’s ice cream.

The Terrace Restaurant, the traditional country house dining room next doors, is also offering sip and graze summer lunches with light bites, bottomless drinks and the greatest pop and rock hits played live.

At Monty’s, enjoy hearty dishes, pub classics, and flavours from the forest. It’s a great spot for relaxed family lunches, or refuelling after a day spent exploring. Think handpicked cuts from local suppliers, South Coast fish, and fully loaded burgers – plus Sundays roasts and a children’s menu to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters.
