Advanced weather forecasting models indicate that 27 counties across the UK are set to experience temperatures soaring above 20C next week.
The Met Office has revealed that the mercury could climb as high as 24C in certain parts of the country on Wednesday, following the snow, rain and powerful winds unleashed by Storm Dave this weekend, reports the Mirror.
Storm Dave triggered road closures and rail disruptions in the early hours of Easter Sunday, with the threat of power cuts also looming, though all weather warnings have since been lifted.
The UKV weather model predicts temperatures will reach and exceed 20C on Wednesday across a vast stretch of England, with the warmest conditions anticipated across the south, south-east, east and the Midlands.

Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said: “On Tuesday, warmer air moves in across England and Wales from the near continent through Tuesday and into Wednesday.
“We will see temperatures rising to the low 20s, with highs around 20C or 21C on Tuesday, and possibly 23C or 24C come Wednesday. The sunniest skies on Wednesday may be limited to south-east England, where 23C and 24C is most likely.”
This morning’s Met Office forecast predicted temperatures reaching 18C in the north and 23C in the south on Tuesday. Looking ahead to Wednesday, northern regions are expected to reach 19C while southern areas could see 24C.
