Police are investigating a stabbing in a Harrow park that left three people in hospital last night (July 1).
The emergency services attended Byron Recreation Ground, in Wealdstone, at around 9.05pm following reports of an altercation involving a large group.
Paramedics treated two men in their 20s and a teenage boy at the scene before taking them for further medical treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
“Officers are aware of several incidents in the local area and continue to investigate the circumstances,” the force said in a statement this afternoon, “We recognise the concern from local people and officers are carrying out additional patrols.”
No arrests have been made in connection at this stage and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. A cordon was established around the park whilst investigators collected evidence, with tape sealing off several entrances.
The stabbing happened two hours before a separate incident in Colindale left a man in his 20s with potentially life changing injuries. The victim was knifed in front of a row of houses on Booth Road and rushed to a major trauma centre.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 8341/01JUL26.
