A man in his 20s is in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a stabbing in Colindale last night (July 1).
He was knifed in front of a row of houses on Booth Road at around 11.05pm, the Metropolitan Police confirmed in a statement this afternoon.
Paramedics, including a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, treated the victim at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre. No arrests have been in connection and enquiries are ongoing, the Met said.
“We recognise the concern that this incident will cause the local community and have increased police patrols in the area,” the force added.
A cordon has been in place on Booth Road overnight as investigators establish what took place. Witnesses are urged to come forward as soon as possible.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.09pm yesterday (1 July) to reports of a stabbing in Booth Road, NW9. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
