The one-of-one Rolls-Royce Phantom Regatta celebrates England’s southern coastline with yacht-inspired details ahead of its 2026 Goodwood debut.

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Phantom Regatta, a one-off Phantom Extended commission that takes inspiration from the sailing culture and coastal waters of England’s south coast. Scheduled to make its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the bespoke luxury saloon reflects the Solent, Chichester Harbour and the historic regattas that take place there every summer, including Cowes Week. The project also has a personal connection to the brand’s history, as Sir Henry Royce once lived in nearby West Wittering, just a few miles from the company’s current headquarters at Goodwood.

Like every Bespoke Rolls-Royce, Phantom Regatta has been built around a story, but this time the focus shifts from roads to open water, bringing several nautical references into almost every visible surface of the car.

Rolls Royce Phantom Regatta: A Yacht-Inspired Exterior With Bespoke Finishes

The exterior of the Phantom Regatta combines Regatta Blue with English White in a hand-applied two-tone finish. Rolls-Royce says the contrast is intended to resemble the point where a yacht’s hull meets the sea. The car also rides on 22-inch fully polished disc wheels, whose reflective finish draws inspiration from the polished metal hardware commonly found on racing yachts.

The silhouette remains identical to the standard Phantom Extended, the bespoke paintwork ensures this commission stands apart from any regular production model. It is another reminder that, for Rolls-Royce customers, exclusivity often comes down to craftsmanship rather than additional bodywork.

Rolls Royce Phantom Regatta: The Cabin Takes Inspiration From Life at Sea

The front and rear sections follow different colour themes. The front cabin is finished in Navy Blue leather, while the rear passenger compartment uses Grace White upholstery to represent sails and sea spray. Contrast stitching, piping and the steering wheel combine both colours, while the embroidered RR monograms are finished in Turchese to mirror shallow coastal waters.  One of the standout features is the hand-painted Gallery artwork stretching across the dashboard. Called ‘Watercolour’, it was created by Rolls-Royce’s in-house artist using specially developed paints on open-pore wood.

According to the company, developing the technique required around two weeks of testing before the desired effect resembling moving water was achieved. Above the occupants sits a Bespoke Starlight Headliner featuring 1,307 fibre-optic lights arranged to represent the tidal currents around the Isle of Wight. It is paired with illuminated doors to complete the cabin ambience. Even the air vents have not escaped the designers’ attention. Hidden engravings inside the adjustable vents reveal the geographical coordinates of Goodwood House and the Home of Rolls-Royce, visible only when the vents are tilted forward.

Handcrafted Details Reflect Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Focus

The woodwork continues the marine theme with Piano Milori veneer combined with Open Pore Royal Walnut. The rear picnic tables are particularly labour-intensive, requiring around 120 hours to complete. Each table uses 16 Royal Walnut sections arranged to resemble a yacht deck, while thin Black Bolivar strips imitate traditional deck caulking.

Phil Fabre de la Grange, Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said Phantom Regatta demonstrates how the company’s designers, engineers and craftspeople can transform local inspiration into a highly personalised commission using paint, leather, wood and metal.
