Susanna Reid is making her comeback to Good Morning Britain following a brief absence, and viewers won’t have to wait much longer.
The 55-year-old presenter was last spotted on the popular ITV breakfast programme on Monday, June 22, during live reporting of Sir Keir Starmer’s resignation.
The Prime Minister stepped down as Labour Party leader in an address delivered outside Number 10 Downing Street, though he will continue in post until the new leadership race concludes.
Sir Keir added that he has requested Labour’s governing body to establish a timeline to find his replacement, with nominations commencing on Thursday, July 9, and concluding by the summer recess on Thursday, July 16.
After the dramatic GMB broadcast, which ran 30 minutes over schedule, Susanna revealed on Instagram that she’d be stepping away from presenting while working on “a special project”, reports the Mirror.

Nevertheless, Susanna will be back on our screens alongside Ed Balls on Monday morning (July 6) as she resumes her GMB duties.
Posting to Instagram on Sunday (July 5), Susanna expressed her enthusiasm about her return and pondered whether to tune into England’s World Cup clash against Mexico, scheduled to begin at 1am on Monday morning, ahead of her early alarm call.
Alongside a striking selfie, she wrote: “BACK TO WORK! Excited to be back @gmb tomorrow with @edballs – we are just discussing our plans to watch the football without crashing out during the programme.”
She asked her followers: “I may have to miss the live game and watch the highlights on my way to the studio. How will you be watching? And what’s the plan for work/school afterwards!”
Supporters were quick to express their excitement at Susanna’s comeback, with one person writing: “Good to have you back. Thought you had done a Starmer. Especially given the timing of your absence.”
A second joked: “There’s only one Reido”, while a third chimed in: “Great to have you back, always a bonus when you enjoy your work.”
