(NewsNation) — Prince Harry’s invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace during his visit to the United Kingdom was rescinded days before his trip.
The Duke of Sussex’s spokesperson said the offer was “withdrawn” after Harry accepted the palace’s invitation July 4, according to People Magazine.

Sources told the BBC Harry hadn’t responded to the palace’s invitation in time for proper accommodations to be made.

Harry will touch down in England later this month to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham, according to The Telegraph.
