There is still no confirmation on whether or not King Charles will meet with his youngest son while Prince Harry is in the UK this week. But the King was keeping it cool at London Zoo today during the heatwave, as he wore sunglasses and posed for animated pictures outside the penguin enclosure.
King Charles and Queen Camilla marked the 200th anniversary of the London Zoological Society with a visit to London Zoo to hear about their pioneering work in research, global conservation and visitor experience. The royals fed watermelon to giant tortoises and also stopped at Penguin Beach, where the penguins were receiving a health check.

The Queen carried a parasol to shelter from the heat, but the King went without and also wore a suit jacket and tie despite the high temperatures. London and other parts of the UK have been baking in a heatwave in recent days, with temperatures frequently reaching 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
The King’s outing today came as Prince Harry was in Birmingham visiting the city’s children’s hospital on behalf of his charity WellChild. Tomorrow, he will attend events to make one year to go to the Invictus Games 2027.

A meeting between the King and the Sussexes has not been ruled out by either side. The King has not seen Harry’s children since 2022. However, it is still not confirmed if Meghan, Archie and Lilibet will even come to the UK after their plans were changed at the last minute due to concerns over security. They did not travel to London but could meet Harry in a different destination in the coming days.
It is not expected, however, that Harry will meet with his brother William as the pair are still understood to be estranged. The Prince of Wales was carrying out his own public engagements today in Hastings, East Sussex to highlight the town’s fishing community.
Harry’s trip to his home country has largely been overshadowed by the dispute over his security and the fact that he lost his high-profile court battle with the Mail newspapers. The verdict in the court case was announced on Tuesday as he attended a public event for Invictus at Chatham House.
