In a country that boasts over 45,000 boozers; it’s rather tricky to know which of them are the best of the bunch. And so it’s pretty darn convenient that the lovely lot over at Pub & Bar Magazine have – once again – narrowed it down for us. Each and every year, the beer-buffs and ale-aficionados pub crawl their way across the UK in search of the most wonderful watering holes. And having recently scoured every corner of the country, they’ve announced the 252 pubs that are now officially in the running for their oh-so prestigious National Pub & Bar Awards.
The annual awards shine a spotlight on the very best of British bars and boozers, raising a glass to the spaces that – from start to finish – boast the best customer journeys. The 252 shortlisted establishments are scattered across a whopping 94 regions throughout the UK. But I suppose we’ll stay in our own lane (for now) and point you in the direction of the 8 London locales that earnt themselves a comfy, coveted spot on the list of ‘County Nominees’.

94 County and Regional Winners will be crowned at a fancy London ceremony in June. A series of ‘Industry Choice Awards’ will also be dished out at the event (voted for separately by 400 judges from the world of hospitality) alongside a Pub Group of the Year award, a Bar Group of the Year award, and a bunch of Highly Commended titles, too. Last year, The Red Lion & Sun snapped up the London Pub & Bar of the Year Award, whilst The Devonshire managed to get its hands on the Industry Choice Award.
