Witnesses are urged to come forward

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a stabbing on a busy shopping street in Woolwich. He was knifed on Powis Street at around 8.10pm yesterday (July 18), the Metropolitan Police said.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and located the victim with a single stab wound. He was taken to hospital with non-life‑changing nor life‑threatening injuries, the force added.
No one has been arrested in connection and enquiries remain ongoing to identify and locate the person responsible. Witnesses are urged to come forward to help in the ongoing investigation.
Photos taken at the scene show a cordon and heavy police presence at the junction of Powis Street and Greens End.
The stabbing came less than an hour after a separate incident left a 37-year-old man fighting for his life in Balham. Members of the public were force to chase an armed man away from the victim before help could arrive to Weir Road.
