Photographs have captured a fire in full rage this evening (Tuesday).
Locals say the thick black smoke in Ashford can be seen from miles away.

A large and intense section of flame can also be seen.
The blaze is understood to have happened at a recycling centre in Brunswick Road on the town’s Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate.
Local historian Steve Salter was passing the scene in a car with his partner.
He told KentOnline: “It was very worrying. There was a thick plume of acrid black smoke. We kept the car windows shut to keep it away from us.
“We could already see the fire engines rushing to the scene. This is clearly a very big fire that would take some time to put out.”
KentOnline has contacted the emergency services for more information.
