National Highways North West said at 7.32am on X: “M60 anti-clockwise between junction 11 at Eccles and junction 10 at the Trafford Centre -lane three (of three) has been reopened past the scene.
“Lanes one and two remain closed whilst police carry out investigation work. Delays remain up to 60 minutes on approach, with six miles of congestion.”
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) at 7.16am said: “We are currently dealing with a police incident on the M60 at Barton Bridge. One lane is open and traffic is moving slowly. Delays are building and are expected to increase.
“Please avoid this area where possible.”
