Modifying a vehicle like a Rolls-Royce<\/a> Cullinan often isn\u2019t the smartest financial move. These SUVs are extraordinarily luxurious as they come, and while dramatic bodykits win over some buyers, they\u2019re hardly a crowd favorite. Which may explain why this Cullinan recently sold for nowhere near what was spent on it.<\/p>\n

The Series 2 here is a 2026 model that carried an original sticker of $441,550, which is already a lot of Rolls before anyone touches it. The first owner wanted more presence than that, so on went an Urban Automotive<\/a> carbon fiber widebody kit, 1.2-inch (30 mm) wheel spacers, and forged 24-inch alloys. The bill for that hardware came to $162,900, which buys a whole second luxury car in most driveways.<\/p>\n

Bring a Trailer<\/p>\n

When the Cullinan was listed for auction<\/a> earlier this week on Bring a Trailer with just 240 miles on the clock, through a dealer on consignment, the seller was no doubt hoping to recoup most, if not all, of the roughly $605,000 sunk into it. However, that didn\u2019t happen as bidding topped out at $555,551, falling short of the seller\u2019s reserve.<\/p>\n

Bring a Trailer<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no denying that this Cullinan<\/a> makes a dramatic visual statement. The Urban Automotive kit gives it a butch new look, as if it\u2019s taken a few too many growth hormones. Similarly, the 24-inch forged wheels with brushed faces are rather wild, although they\u2019re not exactly classy.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s possible that some prospective buyers were also put off by the Cullinan\u2019s interior. The seats, door panels, and large parts of the dashboard are clad in bright orange leather, and while there\u2019s plenty of black leather throughout, there\u2019s not enough to tone down the overall finish.<\/p>\n

For all the changes made to the exterior of the Cullinan<\/a>, nothing was touched underneath. It still runs the 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 making 563 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque.<\/p>\n
