Jamie T<\/a> has announced a surprise intimate live show in London. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter will return to the stage for a one-off homecoming performance at Scala in King\u2019s Cross next Thursday (August 20), marking his first full gig in two years.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll also come 20 years after his first appearance at the 1,145-capacity venue, where he played with a full band for the first time in 2006.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST next Wednesday (August 19) \u2013 you\u2019ll be able to buy yours here<\/a>. Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale at the same time on Tuesday (18) by signing up here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Per a press release, the upcoming London date will bring a \u201cfull-circle moment at the start of a new chapter\u201d \u2013 hinting that new music is incoming. T posted a teaser video yesterday (Thursday August 13), pointing to something happening next week.<\/p>\n

T\u2019s fifth and latest studio album, \u2018The Theory Of Whatever\u2019<\/a>, arrived in 2022. The following year, he shared the anthemic standalone single \u2018Hippodrome\u2019<\/a> before teaming up with Fred Again.. this February on \u2018Lights Burn Dimmer\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The artist has joined forces with The Big Pink<\/a>\u2019s Robbie Furze and\u00a0The Kills<\/a>\u2018\u00a0Jamie Hince<\/a> for a new EP under the moniker \u2018M.O.T.H.E.R.\u2019<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

T last played a full show when he headlined Victorious Festival in August 2024<\/a>, per Setlist.FM<\/a>. He has since made guest appearances on stage with Fred Again..<\/a> and The Maccabees<\/a>. His biggest headline concert yet took place at London\u2019s Finsbury Park<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME about how \u2018M.O.T.H.E.R.\u2019 came about<\/a> this summer, Jamie Hince said: \u201cI was working on music with Jamie T, sending each other stuff, and the idea for the three of us to do something together came out of that. It felt nice, like we were buying into this camaraderie, and this gang.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furze added: \u201cMe and Jamie T started becoming friends on the circuit of festivals when the first Big Pink record came out in 2009. Then me and Jamie Hince met at Corona Capital in Mexico in 2012.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a four-star review of Jamie T\u2019s UK Number One album \u2018The Theory Of Whatever\u2019<\/a>, NME hailed it as a \u201cliberating return from a star as relaxed as ever\u201d.
