It was a session impacted by a red flag for Lola Yamaha ABT\u2019s Lucas di Grassi, as the Brazilian who is retiring from motorsport this weekend was forced to stop out on track with a mechanical issue. Once the session resumed, it was Nyck de Vries who was quickest for Mahindra Racing, closely followed by Dan Ticktum (CUPRA KIRO) and Sebastien Buemi (Envision Racing).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Yesterday\u2019s winner and championship hopeful Pascal Wehrlein was fourth for Porsche, although the two drivers had a close call during the session, nearly making contact through the ATTACK MODE. Nick Cassidy was fifth for Citro\u00ebn Racing.<\/p>\n
Jake Dennis, who is five points behind Wehrlein in the drivers’ standings, finished in eighth for Andretti with Mitch Evans having issues with his Jaguar which the team have yet to confirm the diagnosis and saw him end the session last.<\/p>\n

It was a smooth start to the session, which got underway at 08:30 local. Both Mahindra Racing drivers were quickest of the times, until FP3 was brought under red flag conditions for Lucas di Grassi\u2019s Lola Yamaha ABT around half way through the 40 minute session. The issue caused him to stop down at Turn 6, with the car going to red mode and needing time to be recovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not the way the Season 3 champ would want to end his final weekend as a driver in Formula E, after an issue with the car during the race yesterday too that didn\u2019t see him finish the race.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Once the session resumed, Nyck de Vries continued to be quick and topped the times, with Ticktum securing second and Sebastien Buemi third for Envision Racing. <\/p>\n
