{"id":105145,"date":"2026-08-17T12:41:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T12:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/105145\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T12:41:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T12:41:11","slug":"standard-chartered-trains-600-nigerians-in-digital-skills-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/105145\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard Chartered trains 600 Nigerians in digital skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited has partnered with Junior Achievement Nigeria to equip more than 600 young Nigerians with digital skills through a 10-day bootcamp aimed at improving employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Digital Bootcamp Programme will take place across Ondo, Abuja, Rivers and Kaduna states, providing participants with practical training in project management, data analysis, cybersecurity, UI\/UX design, IT support and digital marketing.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative targets graduates, National Youth Service Corps members, women and young people from low-income communities as the partners seek to bridge digital skills gaps and expand access to opportunities in Nigeria\u2019s growing digital economy.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on the partnership, the Acting Executive Director, Junior Achievement Nigeria, Olaolu Akogun, said strong partnerships could create lasting impact by preparing young Nigerians for emerging opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cStrong partnerships create lasting impact. We are proud to partner with Standard Chartered in expanding access to digital skills training for young Nigerians. This investment demonstrates a shared commitment to building a workforce that is ready for the opportunities of the digital age,\u201d Akogun said.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme aligns with the Standard Chartered Foundation\u2019s focus on improving youth employability and economic participation by providing underserved young people with skills, knowledge and networks needed to participate in the future workforce. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The partnership will also enable Standard Chartered employees to volunteer through the bank\u2019s Skills-Based Volunteering programme, allowing them to mentor participants and share their professional expertise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand &amp; Marketing, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited, Joke Adu, said the bank viewed investment in future-ready skills as an important way to support communities.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe believe that empowering young people with future-ready skills is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our communities.
