Sadly, it quickly became apparent, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cA second man, a driver of a HGV, was found in a serious condition, he received specialist trauma care before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital under emergency driving conditions.<\/p>\n
\u201cA third man, also a driver of a HGV, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cA fourth man, a HGV driver, was assessed, however sustained no injuries and was discharged at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.10am today (Monday 17 August) to the M6 northbound between junctions 15 and 16 following reports of a collision involving three lorries and a car.<\/p>\n
“The driver of the car, a man, sadly died at the scene.<\/p>\n
“His next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.”<\/p>\n
