A boy was arrested for possession of a knife after violence erupted at the Trafford Centre.<\/p>\n

Police officers were called to a ‘disturbance’ at the shopping centre on Monday evening (August 17). According to an eyewitness, a fight broke out in one of the car parks.<\/p>\n

A male was hurt amid the incident, a Greater Manchester Police<\/a> spokesperson said, but left the scene. He ‘remains unknown’.<\/p>\n

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon. Enquiries into the incident are now underway.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the Trafford Centre last night (17\/08\/2026) and arrested a boy, aged 16, on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.<\/p>\n

“The male suspected to have received an injury had left the scene and at this time remains unknown. Enquiries are ongoing.”<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Trafford Centre said: \u201cWe are aware of an incident that took place last night (Monday 17th August) within an outside area at Trafford Centre.
