Police swooped on a street in Moss Side this afternoon to arrest a robbery suspect – but GMP say the suspect became unwell and was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n
The drama happened on Bowes Street at about 1.30pm which ended up being cordoned off by police. Tonight Bowes Street remains cordoned off as an investigation into the incident continues.<\/p>\n
It is understood the suspect was taken to hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

A long section of Bowes Street remains off limits to the police.
