Latifah Newcombe, 33, from <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/aigburth\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Aigburth<\/a>, worked as a personal trainer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/aigburth\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Latifah<\/a>, who had struggled with her <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/mental-health\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">mental health<\/a> for some time, took her own life earlier this month just days after she left hospital. A fundraiser to pay the funeral costs and support Latifah\u2019s mum Alison has raised over \u00a33,900. The page was set up by a close family friend, who said <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/real-lives\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">Latifah <\/a>was \u201cwell known and loved in Aigburth\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Speaking to the <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">ECHO<\/a>, he said: \u201cShe was just a really nice person. She had lots of friends. She was such a lovely kid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;(Latifah and Alison), they\u2019d do anything for you. All around Aigburth, they\u2019re very well known. It\u2019s just a shame. It\u2019s unexpected, that\u2019s what has hurt the most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He said Latifah had struggled with anxiety and depression. It runs a UK helpline and <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecalmzone.net\/help\/webchat\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">webchat<\/a> from 5pm to midnight 365 days a year for anyone who has hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/pandasfoundation.org.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">PANDAS<\/a> (0808 1961 776) runs a free helpline and offers a support service for people who may be suffering with perinatal mental illness, including prenatal (antenatal) and postnatal depression plus support for their family or network.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/www.childline.org.uk\/Pages\/Home.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Childline<\/a> (0800 1111) runs a helpline for children and young people in the UK. Calls are free and the number won&#8217;t show up on your phone bill.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/www.papyrus-uk.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">PAPYRUS<\/a> (0800 068 41 41) is an organisation supporting teenagers and young adults who are feeling suicidal.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mind.org.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Mind<\/a> (0300 123 3393) is a charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/studentsagainstdepression.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Students Against Depression<\/a> is a website for students who are depressed, have a low mood or are having suicidal thoughts.<a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bullying.co.uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Bullying UK<\/a> is a website for both children and adults affected by bullying.Amparo provides emotional and practical support for anyone who has been affected by a suicide. This includes dealing with police and coroners; helping with media enquiries; preparing for and attending an inquest and helping to access other, appropriate, local support services. Alison was looking after her and it was just the two of them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cHer mum really wants to put it across that Latifah never had a good time in the hospital. Latifah was determined not to go back to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cIt was a terrible time for her there. She came out worse to be honest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201c(Her death) has really hit everyone hard. For one, she was so young and beautiful as well. Mental illness is common now in young people. That\u2019s what Alison wants to raise awareness for.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cAs soon as we heard, I just wanted to help her. I thought I&#8217;d set up the GoFundMe page for her because she&#8217;s going to need help financially.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;She&#8217;s on her own. There\u2019s no date yet (for the funeral).
